Before/During the Appointment FAQ
A mobile tent will be set up in the room of your choice. A well lit, ventilated area is preferred and we will need access to an outlet. Bathrooms, kitchens, living rooms and garages are all great options!
At your appointment, we will help you decide on the best solution for you based on your skin type and desired results.
You can wear as little or as much as you are comfortable with! Keep in mind that whatever you wear will result in tan lines. Most people wear some type of bottom and go topless, but plenty of clients wear their bathing suit. Again, it is totally up to you! Disposable thongs and nipple covers are available. (Men and minors must wear bottoms – no exceptions)
Typically, around 30 minutes. This includes setup, preparation, tanning and cleanup. The spray tan itself will take about 10 minutes.
After Appointment FAQ
See tan care page.
We will give you instructions on how long to let your tan develop based on the solution used and your desired results. This can be anywhere from 2-10 hours. Please note that keeping the solution on beyond the 10 hours will not make you any darker.
The bronzer typically comes out of most fabrics in the wash but there are some instances where the tan may stain your sheets or clothing. If you are sleeping in your tan while it develops, we recommend that you wear full pajamas to minimize the risk of staining your sheets as well as minimizing skin to skin contact (example: hands touching the skin).
General FAQ
The active ingredient in all sunless tanning products is Dihydroxyacetone (DHA). This compound formula derived from sugar reacts with the amino acids on the surface layer of skin producing a darkening effect.
The length of your tan depends on the maintenance afterwards. The spray tan darkens the skin so as those cells skin naturally exfoliate, the color will fade as well. Most people notice their tan beginning to fade after about 4-7 days.
It is recommended that you tan two days before any event. This gives time for the color to be fully develop and the bronzer washed away. We require that brides book at least one trial session prior to their wedding day.
You can expect your color to last around a week so if you wish to maintain a consistent glow, then every 7-10 days would be recommended. Please remember to fully exfoliate the previous tan off before spraying again.
Yes! The most important thing to remember is that the solution does not contain any UV protection/sunscreen. We recommend using a water-based SPF over your spray tan. You will still be able to develop a tan naturally in the sun while keeping your skin protected.
DHA is FDA approved and only penetrates the outermost layer of the skin. There is no evidence that DHA is harmful. However, we do recommend that you consult with your physician first.

Yes, after your first rinse. Repeated exposure to chlorine will reduce the life of your tan but your tan will not run in the pool (as long as you have thoroughly rinsed the bronzers).
Soak in baby oil then jump in the shower to exfoliate everything off the skin. An exfoliating mitt will help this process tremendously.
Oh No…Help!
Hop back in the shower and do another rinse. It is likely that the streaks are from the bronzer not being rinsed off thoroughly.
Wipe the areas you don’t wish to have solution with alcohol pads. The alcohol helps remove the solution.
Wait 24 hours for it to fully develop after rinsing. If it’s still not dark enough, we can try a darker solution at your next appointment.
Try rinsing again, soak in a bathtub or sit in a sauna/jacuzzi. These methods will remove some of the bronzer to lighten the skin.
